Description
This student has been taking small steps to ease into her nursing college programme that requires her to write her exams in English. Her school education was in the Tamil medium and now she is gradually building proficiency in English, the college principal has said. Her attendance at her college has been 97%. Her parents are daily wage earners. A brother has completed a BE degree and is hoping to take competitive exams to secure a government job. The student's family have their own small home.
As she had not got the nursing course through the government counselling process, the student went for a management quota seat for which the fees is on the higher side -- a sum of Rs. 1.7 lakh including hostel fees. After the through review, we have approved the cause for Rs30,000.00 as 1st year tution fees.
She is been keen in her studies, maintaining good records in score and attendance as well.
Student has requested for our support with her 2nd year tuition fees, Aalyam has approved Rs30,000.00 this year.
