#20170902 - 3rd Year BE Civil Engineering Student from Nagercoil

Aalayam aided this student to get through the first 2years of B.E Civil Engg and the results she scored was very good, also the college gave a good feedback about this student on her studies and attendance. With a kind thanks to our donor’s, she has requested us for the second year tuition fees. During our review we found that her family living condition has not been improved much and considering her good progress in studies, we approve for Rs.20000 for this year.

She has been aided by Aalayam community to go through her 1st year course and now the request is to support her for 2nd year. We have done our reviews again and found that family financial situation has not improved and based on her current education progress we approve of Rs.20000.00 for her tuition fees. The family is living near Kanyakumari, mother was working as daily labor in a cashew nut factory. Left all alone without any support she stands up for herself and her daughters to get their minimum education. The father who supposed to lead the family is alcoholic and not stable. Our beneficiary is the second daughter who joined BE Civil in a college near Kanyakumari. Her elder sister is managing her diploma in nursing by working as part-time, younger sister is been doing 12th std in a government school. Unfortunately the family financial pressure push our beneficiary to make the difficult choice of quitting the college and go for work. Our review team has found that beneficiary is calm in nature and well deserved for our scholarship.
