Beneficiary is a LKG student got admission in a private school in Chennai for academic year 2015-16. His father recently died in a road accident and left the family behind. He was hospitalized for couple weeks after the accident which put the family in huge debt.
He is living with his mother and elder sister. After his father's death, mother started going for a job and her salary is the only family income. They also moved to a small house with low rent. His sister is studying 10th and she was recently changed from a private school to govt. aided school.
When we asked the mother about why can not they find a school with low fee, she told us this is the nearest school with low fees. Since she is going for a job, her neigbour could drop and pick him from the school.
This student was referred to us by one of our volunteer.
